This sunset was taken as we approached the end of the little Karoo and the awesome mountain pass that led us to a small town called Stellendam where we stayed the night. The old couple that put us up in their Bed and Breakfast were really nice to us. The mans name was Duplessey (cant spell) he was known as Doopie. He was a freelance photographer and showed us some of the magazine articles he had done on the flowers of Namaqualand. I think he was pleased to have some fresh blood to show off to. The photographs were stunning and Namaqualand looks pretty good too. Nice people.

This is for Max following his Frogs in the Karoo post. We had been driving for hours through the little Karoo making our way towards Hermanus and ultimately Cape Town when suddenly in the middle of the desert this place appeared. What the...It gave us a laugh and something to remember.
